Poorna Vidya Trust is a service oriented voluntary organization started in 1989 under the leadership of Mr M. Velmurugan with the objective of helping the below poverty line people, children and women in rural areas. The Trust’s Aim is to serve to humanity in the fields of Education, Culture, Women and Child welfare and development, Technical and Vocational Education. The Trust is in the forefront of serving the poor people with special emphasis to rural women folk and children.
The vision of the Trust is to achieve a new human society where the poor have a rightful place to live. It may be difficult path for the rural communities in terms of financial, social and educational aspects. The Trust addresses the gap by undertaking appropriate support programs, Initiatives and Social projects. The Trust enables many to reach out to the upliftment of rural people and make a difference in their lives.
In our society, the life of women especially uneducated, school and college drop-outs, child marriages etc. for whom we have organized the following welfare activates.
The Trust has been providing educational support for rural students among economically backward families. Currently we are providing this support to 25 orphans and 23 students pay half the fees whose parents are widow or widower. We accept request for education support by verifying the background, accessing the academic records and supporting students by sponsoring their books, uniforms Academic fees and Tuition fees.
The Trust aims to provide support for some students who are willing to go back to school for formal education, in the case of adult youth we encourage them to join Skill Development programs like DPT Training, Screen Printing, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electric Wiring or Motor Mechanic.
Poorna Vidya Trust is looking forward to expand its activates into many areas to spread social service initiatives and programs to reach out to all deprived section of society. The trust would like to come up with shelter for orphan children and to support them for better education and decent placement in society.
